What are Electrostatic Stickers?

We’re glad you asked. Electrostatic is an innovative sticker technology that’s now available at Luminar. So why should your business be interested?

Imagine that you’ve bought a fridge, a washing machine, or a dryer for your home. The chances are, you tried removing that super glue-like adhesive sticker from the front. You attempted to peel back the sticker from its corner carefully, with the precision and focus of a heart surgeon, but just as you thought it was giving way, the sticker rips down the middle.

This scenario happens in business too, because we use a variety of stickers to visually brand, attract, promote and sell to customers. Most of the time, adhesive stickers work perfectly, but on some surfaces—windows for example—you’re likely to have experienced this frustration. Sometimes, the experience is so traumatic that we leave the stubborn stickers where they are. We call this apprehension FOML, or, fear of moving labels.

What if it didn’t have to be that way?

If you’re a lifelong sufferer of FOML, you’ll be pleased to know that we have a solution.

Electrostatic stickers are non-adhesive. That means that they don’t leave a sticky residue; they come away easily and cleanly without a trace. And the best bit? You can reuse them over and over again. If they get dirty, simply wash them with water.

Electrostatic non adhesive labels

Electrostatic stickers are easily removed and reused thanks to special technology.

Electrostatic stickers are made from synthetic polyvinyl carbonate (PVC) – a robust plastic material that’s printable. We make these versatile stickers in our Castle Hill printing studio by applying a coating varnish, a primer, and then drying with our UV machine.

The results? Stickers that are:

  • Water-resistant, washable and can be used outdoors.
  • Scratch-proof and won’t tear.
  • Multipurpose. Use your stickers on a variety of surfaces including white goods, TV screens, glass and plastic.
  • Reusable and repositionable.
  • Smooth and professionally finished.
